“Eat budget, eat impressive, eat pop-up “Urban Food Fest is London’s newest Street Food Night Market. Listed as number one on Time Out’s London Hot List – quite the accolade for an event launched only at the beginning of summer.
For the past few months Saturday nights in Shoreditch has seen around 15 street food vans set up base and feed the hungry Shoreditch punters. Jessica Tucker, founder of the UFF said “No other street food market in the UK combines so many cuisines whilst encapsulating what Shoreditch is about.” And she’s right.
Last weekend’s selection included everything from Cajun-spiced deep fried frogs legs, Korean burgers, vegetable sushi, Bajan Paella, Caribbean curries, the finest macaroons, Italian pork burgers with gorgonzola and quite possibly the best Scotch Eggs I’ve ever eaten (Chorizo & Black pudding!). The stands change each week, which definitely creates a level of exciting mystery – who knows what you’ll be able to try from week to week. Maybe you’ll sample the next big thing in the foodie world!
The central space is kitted out with plenty of seating so you can at least sit whilst scoffing any number of aforementioned treats. The atmosphere is great, a few hundred people packed into a foodie heaven. Friends share, chat and giggle over the food, wiping sticky hands from dripping burger juice.
If you’re a foodie, looking to sample different foods from all over the world, or just want an interesting night out – head to Euro Car Parks, Shoreditch High Street.
